Crime Scenes

Crime Scenes

What can turn plush and extravagant mansions into sinister places where no one wants to set foot? A murder or two, of course!

I’ve been immersing myself in crime fiction recently, and I’ve been consistently irritated by the lack of diagrams and blue prints in many of the books, often wondering if the impossible crimes described would have been easy (or easier) to solve if there’d just been a map or floorplan or two. I like blue prints and floor plans anyway, but it struck me that it doesn’t take much to turn someone’s mental impression of a grand old house from a vision of luxury and privilege into a site that will never be without its ghosts. And so I made some adaptations to available floor plans. Click any image to enlarge it.
